GMBA Camp 2019 Continues
Tuesday at camp began with a peppy rendition of “Like a Child” performed by a group of young people pictured below. During the ensuing chapel service, Brother Joe DiBattista shared two easy-to-remember scripture references and stated that we can’t live abundantly (John 10:10) without the hope that comes from the resurrection of Christ (John 20:20). This was followed by the second day of “Lively Hope” seminars.
The afternoon featured the annual Kids' Day, with face painting, a petting zoo and snow cones. The kids loved it!
Later in the afternoon, the adults enjoyed the second of three scheduled Sunday school lessons. Today’s lesson was titled “Two Men and a Savior” and presented by Brother Tony Ricci.
At the evening meeting, Brother Cameron Staley and Brother Bryan Griffith addressed the congregation on the topic of “Brighter Hope.” The second half of the meeting featured the young people singing and testifying.
The final event of the evening was the annual 5K run, which raises money for the GMBA Youth Missionary Fund (which makes it possible for young people to attend the Campout each year). This year’s 5K had a Disney theme, so all were encouraged to dress in Disney costumes. Even the Cal U staff got into the act:

They’re off and running! We won’t know until later tonight who wins the race, but the youth of The Church are the winners tonight, as the money raised will help them to attend camp next year.
