Meet the Pillars: Brother Leonard Lovalvo

Today, we're bringing you the first Meet the Pillars interview! What's Meet the Pillars?

A Little About Our Brother

Our dear Brother Leonard Lovalvo was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1936 and baptized in Modesto, California, in 1954 at the young age of 17. He was ordained into the ministry at age 21 and an evangelist at age 26. That is over 60 years as a minister of God! Son of Brother Joseph Lovalvo and Sister Virginia Randazzo, our brother grew up surrounded by the Gospel. Brother Leonard states, “I fell in love with The Church and the people of God and never turned back. God has been so good to me.”

Generation Gap Interview: Brother Joseph Draskovich and Logan Ali

My father, Joseph Draskovich, did not know The Church of Jesus Christ until he was 12 years old. His grandfather (Joseph Draskovich Sr.) was an immigrant from Croatia who did not drive. One day, as Joseph walked home after getting food for his family, Brother Fred Fair of Greensburg gave him a ride and told him about the church.

My great-grandfather eventually joined the church and shared the gospel with his daughter-in-law, Sister Anna Draskovich. She became a faithful member and taught my father and his five siblings about God. My son Logan interviewed my dad once for a Sunday school project and this is one of the things he took notes on from that kitchen table interview.
